Using the TikTok publishing workflow
Where does the app run?
On your own computer. All SNS Publish is a desktop application for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Your media files, post plans, and platform credentials stay on your machine; nothing is uploaded to this website. The setup page lists the requirements and the commands.
What files can I select?
The TikTok workflow accepts original MP4 and MOV video files stored on your computer. The authorized creator's maximum duration is checked using information returned by TikTok.
Why do I need to log in with TikTok?
Authorization identifies the creator account and grants only the requested permissions. All SNS Publish uses user.info.basic for visible account context and video.publish for TikTok Direct Post. The app opens TikTok's authorization page in your browser; when TikTok sends you back to our callback page, you copy the address-bar URL into the app to finish connecting.
Is privacy selected automatically?
No. Preparation begins with no privacy selection. You must choose one of the options returned for the authorized creator before the app will build the post.
What happens to comments, Duet, and Stitch?
Those interaction controls start off. The app also respects restrictions reported for the creator account.
How are commercial or AI-generated posts handled?
You can identify brand promotion, self-promotion, and AIGC before publishing. Related visibility requirements and the music usage confirmation are presented during preparation.
Does the app publish without confirmation?
No. The TikTok workflow shows a consolidated review and requires an explicit final action before initialization and upload. A dry run is available to inspect exactly what would be sent.
How do I disconnect TikTok?
Run sns-publish revoke-tiktok --delete-local-token to revoke the authorization and remove the stored credential from your computer. You can also remove the app from TikTok's connected-app permissions, or contact the operator for a data or revocation request.
Where can I read the legal policies?
The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are public and linked from the header and footer of every public page.
